Finding fun indoor things with kids can sometimes be hard in southern alberta, which seems weird to me since there are SO many families with kids. (If I was a business woman then I’d open some things to do – but instead I just make lists of my ideas in my random idea notebook. ;)) One of the things we’ve tried this winter is bowling. And man did our kids love it. Like a lot. It was tons of fun to do with cousins. We ended up at 5 pin instead since the 10 pin was all booked and the kids loved it even more.
They had tiny little bowling shoes that fit Norah and I loved them. SOOOOO cute.
Photo bomb by the goofy Alden and Aunty Whitney.
Josh had a really hard time not going up by the balls and would get mad when we stopped him. Eventually he found this little spot at the edge where he could sit and watch. Norah started joining him.
As soon as Oliver figured out how to do it, he wanted no help. As in we couldn’t even come up close by him. He’s got a strong independence streak when he wants to.
High 5’s after the strike. After seeing them do this multiple times I knew I wanted to capture it, so I just waited with my camera in hand until they did it again and captured it. This is every day story telling to me, capturing them as they are.
So much fun to do something together especially when all the kids love it! What are your indoor fun things to do with your kids in the winter?
