5 Great things to do in the Vancouver Area

We had the chance recently to go to Vancouver so Regan could run the LuLuLemon SeeWhez half marathon. So we went a few days earlier and had some fun exploring the area. We did a lot of stuff in the days we were there. Regan’s brother and Sister in Law live in the area so we were able to stray with them and they were our tour guides as we explored the area. Some highlights:

1. White Rock Pier. Great fish and chips and a beautiful harbour.

2. Capilano Suspension Bridge:  Tons of crowds and but still totally worth it. Beautiful spot that should be on the list of visiting the area. The views are amazing.3. Lighthouse Park.  A beautiful spot. It’s a short beautiful hike in the beautiful woods to the beach and a beautiful lighthouse. 4. Music Festivals.   We found out there are tons of fun musical festivals in Vancouver area in the summer. Even free ones. We enjoyed live music. This is the Boom Booms.
5. Deep Cove. Oh my this place was amazing. I’d go back in a heart beat! We rented single kayaks from Deep Cove Kayak Centre. It was AMAZING. The views, the water, the evening light, the seal swimming with us. Amazing.Other highlights: The Chinese Night Market, the great record shops, and the graffiti walls.
We also ate LOTS of great food. So much good food in Vancouver. Just a couple that stood out…  1. Antons.  and 2. Pure Bread.  So much good food to be found in Vancouver! It’s a great place to explore and visit.
