I’ve got a few different albums on the go right now. I like that. It’s like how I read books. Then whatever is currently holding my attention I can do. So this week, here is a spread from Oliver’s baby album. I’ve got it started but I still have lots to do in it. I love that I can polish off 4-5 spread in a couple hours. I just print all my pictures for the spreads and then plug them in the spots. Then if I have time I add in my Project Life cards. Normally that’s all the time I have in one day and the next time I come to it I can add in my little bits to spruce up the pages. Digital printed bits, buttons, stickers, stamping, etc.
Here is the whole spread.
I like using up old supplies as well as adding in the new stuff I’m getting. These wooden letters are from Studio Calico but the letter stamps I’ve had for years from Stampin Up. And yup, he was a big boy (not my biggest but 2nd.) And the black letters on the card down are really old from K&Co too.
When I’m working on a baby album I find I have less stuff to add in to each one of these cards so I can play a bit more with them. Like drawing with my pen.
I’ve used a LOT of these little “I love you” strips that I downloaded from Ali Edwards!
I love the colors in this baby boy kit. Perfect match for hospital colors!
I love telling the story of Oliver’s birth. And I was really glad that I had written down about his birth on my blog because there were details I had forgotten. I went back and looked up this post and was able to use the writing I already did. This is part of the reason I want to tell my own stories on our lives on my blog. It is to share but it is for my family and documenting our lives.
