I’m still plugging away on my 2015 Project Life Album. I pretty much always build these spreads the same way. I open Lightroom and iPhoto (for our phone pictures) and see how many pictures I have and which stories I am going to include in my spread. Then I print off my pictures and figure out where they are going first. (yes, I print my pictures at home – sometime soon I will do a post about how and why I print at home.) And then I go about adding in my filler and journalling cards. Then I add in the little tidbits to make it fun.
This spread is from June 7-13. And I’m using two page protectors from the Stamin’ Up Project Life set. And this whole set as a lot of products from the new Stamin’ Up Project Life kit called Moments Like These. I LOVE it. Like love love. And I’ve almost used the whole kit up.
The right side: I did add in the evening onto the photo right before printing it off (it’s a Ali Edwards brush) and I added in a few little tidbits from the Ali Edwards kits: the June letter stickers, the Magic and the “Let’s Do This” card.
On the left side I did the whole side about a family birthday party. I am trying to get better at taking pictures when our big families get together. I want to document the relationships as we all age. Like My 94 year old grandma with my 2 year old Norah. I wasn’t going to take a picture of the cake, because the icing totally failed but I decided it is life. So I stuck it in anyways. The only real embellishments I added are the tag and the circle embossed coaster (also from a Ali Edwards kits.) Simple and clean.
I like adding in extended family in our Project Life albums so my kids can see our families. We are surrounded by loved ones and that is something to document and record.
