I’m participating all week long in a photo project headed by the lovely Ali Edwards called Week in the Life where we document our daily lives and at the end we will create a small album that documents our week.

Friday morning’s snuggle in bed picture. Oliver and Norah both. Oliver woke up really early (and woke us up) because he peed the bed. (Malfunction with the pull up.) So he showed up early upset cause he was wet. Then we changed him and then he wanted to eat mini wheats in our bed from a bag. I said no way. So them he laid on the floor with blankets and pillows and he snacked on his mini wheats. Then he and we both dozed on and off until Eli showed up in our room and really woke everyone up. To sum it up we had an early morning.
Two soothers close at hand. She’s always eating cinnamon toast crunch lately. It’s her new favorite.
Every morning I find two or three of these bowls. They drive me crazy. So much waste of cereal.
Dad is off to be on call. So we might not see him much for the rest of the day.
Just trying to do a blog post while the kids play around. But it wasn’t working out so well since they started fighting on and off. I know I should do it more at night when they are in bed but some days I don’t get to it because I am trying to finish editing pictures (like lately) and then I am trying to post in the mornings. I’d rather not have it this way, but sometimes it happens and I am up and down from the computer multiple times until I get it done.
I love finding my kids looking at my project lift albums. Makes me happy to see them.
Since we are leaving on vacation I decided I wanted to get the kids some books to read on the way. So we all headed in to Lethbridge. Going to Chapters and then the mall with all 5 kids is defiantly an adventure.
It wasn’t always pretty but we did it. We only had crying once and no one peed their pants. So I’ll call it a win. I did get asked by three different people about my amount of kids. Some people that makes them mad, but it just makes me smile. I think its funny. Cause I think I have a lot of kids too. I am overwhelmed with them sometimes and they are mine. So to someone else who has no kids or one, yeah I have a lot.
While making dinner tonight. This happened. And it really bums me out. I know it’s not essential but I do love it.
Trying to make something tasty to take to Regan and for us too.
I am thankful I can set the table and tell them I’ll be right back so I can run food up for Regan. I am glad my kids are getting older and that it is easier. I told them I wanted to see who could all be finished when I got back. All of them were.
His new thing is to sit in his room and listen to music and draw.
Oh the socks around here. I just can’t keep up. And since its summer I totally don’t try lately. Regan brought it up since he never has paired socks in the summer. Poor guy! It took me and Alden and Eli (kind of) about 15 minutes to pair them all.
He made this and brought it up to show to me. And then took a picture of it himself. I love that he still loves lego.
Getting all that zucchini ready for the freezer. I was started and then stopped to put the kids to bed and when I came out Lucy was working on the beans for me. That she would notice and be willing to do that is not lost on me. She is such a kind little girl.
I decided to do some late night baking for treats to take on our trip. And some muffins for Regan since he’s on call and I wanted to make something for him to snack on when he gets home. So I made him some banana chocolate chip muffins (his favorite.) Trying to do little things to show him I love him.
That was our Friday. You can see my Monday here and Tuesday here and Wednesday here and Thursday here.
There are lots of people playing along with this and you can see more if you go over to Ali’s blog. After I capture my week I’ll be putting my album together and sharing it.
