Double Chocolate Sourdough Whole Grain banana bread
*I always think you should follow chocolate amounts with your heart. Don’t let anyone tell you how much you can add.
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup sourdough starter
- 4 eggs
- 6-7 bananas
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 1/2 cup whole grain flour
- 1 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 325ºF convention or 350F for regular. Line three bread pans with parchment paper.
Cream butter, sugar and starter until smooth. Add eggs in one at a time and cream in. Add in bananas and use the mixer just until they are broken up.
Add in dry ingredients and fold together. Fold in chocolate. Divide batter among the three prepared pans. Bake for 25-28 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
